Looks like the first available device with a big touchscreen and virtual controls can be a new iPod. I hope it’s true and after its success phones with the same design will follow.
Also new there’s a lot of talk about multi-point interactions interface. I see how this interface will benefit mobile devices (Apple patent) after solving the problem what to do with the stains and smudges from fingers. What I don’t understand are the opinions like: cool! The Minority Report interface is coming!
The idea that someone will prefer waving hands in front of the monitor to zoom and pan than using a mouse is laughable. Oh yes, I’d like to see an Adobe Illustrator-like software that is easier to use in “Minority Report interface” manner.
